Chapter III
The Scent That Strikes.
Qaryat al Faw
After the night of awakening, Tapputi and her son — now Revenant — rode beyond the endless dunes. This time, they did not wander in desperation. They carried water. Weapons. And the sacred plant — now the source of two powerful scents.
The desert had tested them. Now the world would meet them.
They arrived at Qaryat al Faw — a city carved between trade and belief, where incense never stopped burning and devotion filled the air. The people worshipped Kahl — a god who demanded sacrifice. Not just of blood — but of scent.
Perfumes were offered like prayers. Smoke carried devotion to the heavens.
